Section 35 Dispersal Zone

A Section 35 of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 dispersal zone has been put in place, covering the geographical area contained within the parameters of the following roads in Eastham, E6:

Clements Road, Burges Road, Southend Road including the bridge to Shakespeare Crescent, East Avenue, Browning Road, Church Road, High Streety North, Strone Road, Shrewsbury Road, Plashet Grove, Katherine Road, Lawrence Road, and Bendish Road.

Authorisation from 18:30 hours on 19/09/2026 until 18:30 hours on 21/09/2026

The last 4 days has seen significant levels of anti-social behaviour reported within this geographical area due to young people celebrating in the street. They have been letting off fireworks, playing loud music, parking on the pavements and using a megaphone until the early hours of the morning. Officers have made efforts to engage with the groups over the last few days, but the issue keeps re-occurring. Local aid has now been put in place to tackle the increased ASB. The dispersal zone is required to protect the rights of residents whose quality of life is being significantly impacted.
